Kind of a weird question.
Every year at this time, when fall starts to really setting in and daylight saving time is fixing to end, do any of you get depressed or feel some sort of sadness?
I do. It's the same old same every year as daylight savings time ends. It is dark or almost dark when I get home from work, and naturally the daytime is shorter. The irony is that I love cold weather and should enjoy this time of year, but I really don't.
I love to fish, and my favorite lighted fishing hole will have the lights shut down until next spring, so now I have to find another lighted fishing hole. So this also bums me out.
The one good thing is that I love to race my car, and most cars run a whole lot faster in the cold air.
So, do any of you have some sort of depression as we lose daylight savings time and winter is fixing to set in?

I do, D_J. I HATE getting home after dark - there's nothing to do! I'm not much for TV and I like to putter out in the shop or garage at night. Too dark for alot of my "projects" and such. Plus, it's cold and I hate that!
Worse, is there's no baseball so I have to resort to reading about it instead of watching it. Oh well, I'll be in Kississimme on February 28th for a week, so it ain't all bad.
Oh, and no, this wasn't a weird question, my friend. Beats the living hell out of some of the threads that have been going on for the last few weeks.
This is when I leave Houston until around Christmas time. Unlike Houston, there are so many cities worldwide that come alive at night.
I hate when it gets dark too early!!! I do like the cooler air though!
I like to fuck after the sun goes down........so........nope.
I get depressed when I open my electric bill during the long hot Houston summers.
Yep, you've got S.A.D., my brother has it and is unbearable during Feb.
My Rx: Go do a huge tittied provider in broad daylight!
S.A.D. seems a bit extreme for what I go through, and it is only in the first couple of weeks around when daylight savings time ends then it goes away.
It isn't like I live in Alaska and won't see the sun for months on end.
I hate it when I have to go to work and it's dark and then get home when it's dark too. NO time to get stuff done around the house. It sucks, I love it when it's daylight till 9 pm.
I hear ya' bro. First two weeks are rough and then some jackass will tell you how many days left till Christmas.
Wait, I might have the cure. Do an outcall to a tanning salon and wear your shades and have a cocktail with a BJ. I might have to try that. Except you got to explain the burned lil John to the So!!!!
Years back I spent a day at the Men's Club and needed to sober up . Manager (friend) let me go back to the tanning booths, gave me a token. I was so drunk, I put it in and came out the change slot. Did it again and same result. Rubbed the token on the table and dropped it again. I could not walk the next day. It set the time for 3 sessions!!! LOL
I looked like a red peckered raccoon. (sp)
I agree. I hate coming home at 6pm and it's so dark I don't have the energy to do normal things around the house. I normally don't feel lonely, but, this is the time of the year that I get very lonely. I suppose it's because of the early darkness. I don't have a favorite fishing hole, but, I do have a favorite lake where I love to watch the sunset. Now, I won't get home early enough until our next daylight savings time re-set. On the bright-side, we don't have to deal with humidity and unbearable heat for a few months
