What do you know about Rental Camaro's ? I rented a SS for the weekend trip Home, are they de-tuned? Traction control in auto?
Is it too late to rent a little red Vette?

Or do you have to settle for a Camaro?

Really I doubt they care, the rate they usually bill these cars vs. their value vs. risk of accident vs. insurance policies they sell vs. your own insurance policy vs. any credit card supplemental policies, who the fuck cares if you crash it, they get a new car and reimbursement for lost rental time. I just had a BMW in new york which had 2 miles on it, literally off the truck when I picked it up, they were still peeling plastic crap off it. Didn't see them mess with it in any way.
Kinda what I was thinking.... ^^^^^

I have rented several nice ones..... Just no performance cars........Next trip back will be a Corvette..... Another test drive .
Ford's have MyKey that can be used to limit speed (not sure about WOT, etc.). It can be set easily.

Other brands might have similar feature. I wonder what speed limiter might be set from the factory. Most have them,....not sure about performance cars.

But back on topic....wakeup being the expert.

They're factory stock, no reason to go through the time and effort to safety tune them. Drop the gear shift into the bottom slot if you have an automatic, and it'll go into Sport Mode. Pressing the shift levers will move you into Manual Shift mode after that. Press the StabiliTrak button once to turn off traction control and smoke the tires. Press it twice quickly to enter Competition Mode. If you have a manual transmission while in Competition Mode, Launch Control will be active, and pressing the accelerator will up the RPMs only to a preset level to maximize traction without slippage when the clutch is released.
Yep.....

It is quick, and does a very nice doughnut
