Plaza area is great not just for accommodation options but there's lots of great restaurants and shopping.
When not "otherwise occupied", if you're bored while staying by the Plaza, you're not doing it right.

Plaza is a great area for work and play. I think it is also centrally located so that you will be able to see men from KS and MO.
Hope you have a Fabulous time and tour in Kansas City.
Just make sure to bring your umbrella. There's supposed to be pretty heavy storms tomorrow.
