Suggestions for restaurants in Uptown?

I'll be arriving in a few weeks and wanted to plan ahead for dining options. Would you please recommend locations close to Uptown that are hidden gems, or must-go-tos, that are also taking precautions during this time?

there are oooooodles of restaurants in that area.

I'm very adventurous food wise. So I'm really looking for the top 2-3 "Can't be missed" spots, quality wise. i.e. If a place is popular, but it's for ambiance and drinks and the food is mediocre, I'll pass. Thanks!

If you like BBQ, then go to terry blacks in deep Ellum. It’s about 5 minutes away from uptown
