This is why I stopped reviewing. A bunch of the old guard would always say that an online presence and reviews won't hurt strip clubs and that it was "all cyclical". Bull shit. LE does see and use this site. I do think it is helpful to have reviews for providers, etc. but I'm convinced it has killed the strip clubs. This article just confirms it for me.
As P411 is in Canada and not subject to US law, I see no problem, especialy as THERE IS NO PERSONAL INFORMATION RETAINED ON THE SITE. Good luck finding me through P411. Now that pic of your license plate the hooker who just got busted has, thats a different matter. Good luck with that.
Also, I did not see a word about strippers or strip clubs in the article. Please explain how the article cited supports your position about reviews of clubs or strippers.
The bottom line is there that there is nothing written on this site that LE can solely use to prosecute anyone. As long as you never incriminate yourself on the phone or through text, and never incriminate yourself in person when you meet someone new, you'll be fine. Plus, politicians/LE are more interested in human traffickers rather than run of the mill independent providers or their customers.
1. if you jump to that cbs ch 11 website, their webserver will be informed that you are linking there from eccie.com - copy the link and view it from another window or browser.
2. i checked w/ the tx legislature website, SB 94 was passed by senate and house and has been sent to gov. perry. if he signs it, it will become effective sep 1, 2013.
it's one of the shorter legislative bills i've ever read, maybe 3-4 pages.
it's all about "compelling" prostitution and indirectly related to human trafficking [there's a clause saying something like it's not a defense if the victim did not leave the situation even if they were able to]
All of you armchair legal experts can analyze and speculate all you want but the true test is what LE, and the courts decide to do with it.
And please stop with the "P411 is in Canada" crap.. I believe ECCIE exists on a server outside the US too..so what? We are here, the providers are here as are the people who run the website.
The owners and mods can always say they live in another country..and some of you may repeat it so much that it will generally be accepted as true but that will not necessarily be the case.
"St Chris" could be your sunday morning preacher right here in Dallas, and "Gina" could be your child's 7th grade english teacher... you never know.
