well this is on topic, just not local.....
I'm heading to New Orleans this week. I'll check in to their boards etc. but I always like to check before I travel---any recommendations or must sees down there (people or even places too I guess). I'll be staying basically right in the French Quarter. Thanks in advance for any recommendations!! Stay warm!

Acme Oyster House. Get a dozen so you'll be in top form.
There is a cafe I think that is know for their " beneit's " spelling is wrong for sure. A sweet powdered sugar type donut which is great I've heard.

actually it's pronounced "CRACK"...hahhaha. yeah, I have to go there every single time I go to NOLA. Sometimes I like it when it rains because there is less of a line! Confession: I've eaten 3 plates and 4 coffees there at one sitting before! That stuff is insanely good....had to workout another couple hours that day, but was worth it!

I haven't been there in about a year and a half...anything new?

Oh, and anywhere I should avoid because of extra LE attention? Last time I was there I had a great time at a piano bar, a few local spots and of course Pat O's
