"We Don't Need No Stinking Congress"

This article speaks for its self.
Whether you think it is good, or bad, depends on how you look at Government.
For those that think it is bad, keep in mind, your man will, sooner or later, be back in power.
And for those that think that it is good, keep in mind, your man will, sooner or later, be out of power.

I saw that article; the rub is that Obama was so vocal in opposing Executive power but now that he is in the cat seat it is a different tune.

This by definition is arrogance of power. Another reason why I oppose a strong central government.

Our future, as a republic which respects individual freedoms, requires that the Federal Government be downsized dramaticaly. Otherwise our republic is doomed.

I actually think Romney gets this concept. However, how far he will go in downsizing I do not know.

But but congress is keeping him from doing what the country needs what with all of those elected officials and then you have all of those unelected supreme court justices that try to keep the elected officials from doing what they want to do. I mean Obama is the only one that knows what is best for the collective and you should get behind him as he trashes the constitution.
Candidate Obama doesn't want to be President, he does not want to be King, nor does he want to be Emperor.

He wants to be First Secretary of the Party.

President Obama is going way off the deep end. If he gets a second term, there will be very little standing in his way to effectively form a de facto dictatorship. I may have to change my stand if it looks like Romney is in trouble in Kansas. I don't like Romney at all, but Obama simply has to go. If it's close in Kansas, I will put a Romney sticker over my Gary Johnson sticker, and vote accordingly.

It is imperative that President Obama be defeated in November.
What would you do if you wanted America to fail?

People need to read the history of the Constitution to understand the Congress was designed to undermine the power of the executive branch and visa versa. Of the three branches all had clearly defined duties that have been usurped by the others. I have to wonder how many little known or understood bills were signed into place in the two years of one party rule that Obama is counting on to let his reign continue. I also wonder what will happen in November if the polls say that Obama should lose by 5-7 percent and yet "wins" by 5-7 percent? What are we the people willing to do when the election is stolen? I'm not saying that it is going to work but I have no doubt that the democrats will try and it won't be the first time.

Yeah you are right, I know better, it isn't fair and causes me to lower myself to their level which isn't needed in order to get the point across.

I have not looked inot Gary Johnson much other than to know he was the former governor of New Mexico and I believe is the Libertarian candidate for President. A friend of mine who is a confirmed socialist actually likes him and that makes me wonder.

I have come to the determination that the best way to get the libertarian message across is though the same way the communists infiltrated the Democrat party and pushed their agenda and that is to get as many libertarian types into the system on the Republican side and work to get them elected. The biggest problem is that the Republicans are dead set on the status quo as far as keeping the existing system of bargaining with the Democrats in order to achieve some of their goals. The problem is that the Republicans are always giving and never or seldom on the receiving end and end up with the short end of the stick and the Democrats move more of their agenda forward.

While I wold love to see the libertarian party be successful in their agenda I think they are missing the boat by going at it full bore rather than ease into the changes they propose so to generate more support.

IMHO, the libertarians are the only ones that actually support the constitution as a complete document that should be used to control the federal government and not the other way around.

If you look at the profile of a typical Republican: they're more likely to have a job, far more likely to attend church, far less likely to have a criminal record etc, and yet they're less likely to vote? It doesn't add up.
