Any Orphan Black, Doctor Who, or Black Mirror fans?

Black mirror has a great season on Netflix right now. Several, if not most are about how our interactions with social media, or future possibilities could happen as we advance with technology. The main character from Get Out is in one episode. Don't worry if the first episode doesn't reel you in. It gets way better.

Also, I forgot about the season finale of Orphan Black. (It has 5 seasons). I watch it on my firestick with the kodi app, which technically is like a jail break.

I've been a HUGE fan of DW since the 9th doctor.

Oh, and while on the topic of BBC shows, I have really enjoyed Sherlock with Benedict Cumberbatch of now Star Trek and Dr Strange fame.

Anyone into these shows?

My acquaintance with The Doctor goes back to several films that I encountered while I was in England featuring Peter Cushing as The Doctor. The second of which also featured great second banana Bernard Cribbins. An actor you probably don't know, but you'd recognize if you saw him.

Orphan Black I discovered on Amazon Prime. After one episode I was hooked even though it bends your mind with it's ever changing plot twists. I rate it one of the best series ever.

Started Orphan Black, 6 episodes in, I'm hooked now. Heard Black Mirror is good, late summer I'll try it.

The Doctor? Started watching with John Pertwee in 1973 (I'm young in spirit) but Baker is my favorite. Torn between 10 and 11 for second fave (weeping angels or demons run, hard to pick) and I've not seen the last season with Capaldi, I'll binge it with Earl grey and Glenlivet next month.

Huge fan of Black Mirror. It really makes you think about the possibilities and potential consequences of how quickly technology is advancing.

We tried watching Dr. Who, but just couldn't get into it. Billie Piper is ridiculously attractive to me though.

Haven't gotten around to trying Orphan Black yet, but it's on my list and I've heard good things about it.

I liked the first season or so of Sherlock. However, with the new season, it seemed to be just more of the same schtick and them trying to make everything all ddaaaaarrrkkk, so I stopped watching it.

Love Orphan Black and Doctor Who. This season of Doctor Who was great after the past couple being pretty mediocre. Tom Baker and Romana II are my favorite doctor/companion duo. As far as new Who, the second Matt Smith season is probably my favorite, I love me some River Song

Black Mirror is his and miss with me. Right now I'm finishing up Orphan Black, starting American Gods, and just finished Handmaid's Tale.

Orphan black and American Gods are both awesome.

An older show but very well done was Dollhouse a Josh Whedon show with Eliza Dushku.

Most of Whedon's stuff gets cancelled in second season. Shame too because it's all great. Firefly, Dollhouse.. *sigh*

I'm going to come back and really read this thread after I watch the finale of DW.
Ze, I totally agree with you!!!
Still watching it.
I have only liked Capaldi in the episode with river song.
I'm watching this so irritated at him.
Sonic sunglasses, sonic with a microphone?????AND STEALS SOFTWARE now? Guitar solos.

The only good parts are with The Master (also happens to be one of my handles, not on here), Missy and Nordle. I hope bill really dies more than I hoped Clara would with Capaldi.
It's just the worst!
I miss episodes like The Doctor's Wife (my all time favorite) and Vincent and the Doctor.
See, I actually like Capaldi's portrayal, because the Doctor is, after all, over 2,000 years old - he has seen so many of the people who he cares about die (often horribly) and lost many that he felt he should've been able to save (think The Waters of Mars).

Capaldi is the tired, weary, cynical Doctor who has lived through all these things: "I'm a madman with a screwdriver and a box!". Sort of revisiting Eccleston's portrayal as the Doctor who just ended the Time War by (so he thought) destroying Gallifrey.

And Ze, if Whedon could ever be persuaded to bring back Firefly, I'll be first in line to subscribe!

I felt he had come full circle to complete the side of the river song story.

And I kinda really fell in love with that version of him, but he's just so angry, and grumpy, which even when Tennant had so many people he loved suffer a terrible loss, his answer was always so sympathetic.

I loved Eccleston as well

Can't wait for Rick and Morty season 3 to start back up.
I think this is the right link to get you to see the youtube of the Doctor and River Song's love story/ time line. If it's not, and you're a fan of that story, just google some stuff about River and the Doctor.

Here's an art project I did of this picture of River Song:

It took me so many hours. I should have counted them. Took me over two weeks to do. Ah, electives in college. But I did have a pretty awesome teacher. I had to do all shades ranging from 1-10 of a color. I picked yellow and added orange to it and then black to represent the many colors of the gray scale on a range from 1-10 first. That took me forever to get right. My kids thought I was crazy with the printer and stuff. I can't remember why he decided to do the project that way.

For you whovians, 3 of many of my memes of DW:

I still need to watch the last episode of Orphan Black. The SO hasn't caught up yet. But he did help me binge watch Dollhouse. I don't know if I liked it as much as he did. But it was really an interesting ending.

I did try streaming the "old" DW's but the service I have, they all start with the 9th Doctor. I would love to get them as a set to watch or an Amazon gift card so I can see if I can order them. (I think they have it on Prime but not free).

Ok, I think this has inspired me to start a new thread in co-ed.
"Nerds, show us your meme's" I wonder how many people will have no idea what that means.
Oh, I knew I missed something! I love Rick and Morty. Bought the SO a jacket with them on it for xmas.
