Gifts to myself, opinions?

I know ink and piercings aren't everybody's cup of tea..

I've been wanting to get this done for such a long time.. this was a gift I gave to myself, and the support of my mother who has two full sleeves and much tattoo experience.

The snake-bites I have been wanting since I was a teenager, and the ink I saw in a dream. The flowers were a representation of the people I had met in my life and the symbols are from things that shaped my child-hood. (The flowers will expand as I get more work done.)

I got an imperial symbol in honor of Star Wars, closest to my heart, it got me into sci-fi and I love it still to this day. It also got my interest into Astrophysics, and the Universe as a whole.

The Umbrella is in the center symbol, it is from Resident Evil, AKA Biohazard. It got my interest into pathology and virology.. something I peruse to this day.

The last far left symbol is from Macross, another very old show that got my interest in robotics and mechanical aspects. I love cars, and machines, anything with gears and electronics.

Last, but not least are the stars. Due to my love for the Mario franchise, and the role the little luma stars play in Mario Galaxy, and space in general I felt it fit.

I spent years dreaming this up and the artist I worked with was fabulous! I will be coloring soon, hopefully next week or the week after.

Sorry for the long rant, but this is what I've been up to as of late and I had a wonderful birthday! Thanks so much for everybody's encouragement and support! Let me know what you think!

Doesn't work for me. How will you feel when you are 60?
Happy Belated B-day PeAch! I think it ROCKS and is going to be super sweet after its all finished. You will have to share the finished work once done as well.

Ink doesn't work for ME, but on someone else it's not necessarily a turn off. Depends on the rest of you. And not just the bod.

You like it, that's okay with me.
I love it, can't wait to see it in color (and in person!).

I think it looks really good and will be amazing when it's done. As a fellow Star Wars geek, kudos on the Imperial Symbol.
