what happened?

Just getting back into the hobby and I noticed things are alot different than they used to be compared to the aspd days. I used to have a blast and everone was alot friendlier. I have been reading the threads and it seems that there is alot more hostility. I just looking to have a good time and make new friends. Not trying to stir the pot, but what happened while I was away?
