Are you a "tourist" in your own city?

I was recently on a plane discussing home towns with a fellow passenger, and the lady next to me was from Washington D.C. I inquired if she visited the Capitol, or the Smithsonian Museum, and she apologized and said no. She had heard of Austin and asked me the same question, and I realized I love being a "tourist" in my own city; the hike and bike trail, Mt. Bonnell overlook, the Capitol tour, Bob Bullock Museum. Are you a local "tourist"? Have you lived here and taken advantage of what goes on here, or what would you like to do that you haven't?
