I haven't read the other thread because I could care less about debating this issue. I have my CHL and I own two conceal guns (and will probably buy another). I'm also a pretty good shot, if I do say so myself. I split two business cards with three shots from 15-yards a couple of weeks ago. Once with my .45 and once with my .380. The third shot, actually the first, I grazed the card. I also put 16 shots in the bullseye in about 30 sec. from 50-yards with a sniper rifle. So.......
Now the question at hand — I've read some alerts where guys have been robbed or came close to being robbed by thugs coming to the door or hiding in the closet or bathroom. I also know of one provider that carries herself, for her own protection. So what is your thoughts on carrying to a session? So far, I have never carried by weapon to a date, but I have thought about it. I'd be interested in hearing from both guys and gals.
Again, I can legally carry so no laws would be broken in doing so. But some would or could be uncomfortable with this, so I'm asking.

BTW — this may belong in the sandbox, if so I apologize for putting it in the wrong place.
I totally understand the reason why some of you gentlemen might want to bring a gun to a session because of all the bs going on with some ladies wanting and trying to rob lately, but if you brought one to mine it would completely scare the crap out of me. That's just me though.
It's only a "Sniper Rifle" if you are a Sniper........so may I ask where you got your tab from and your class number?! Second off I'm going to assume you were using a semi instead of a bolt, which also leads me to believe you have iron or reflex on the weapon. Third, "Sniper Rifles" are high caliber/high powered weapon systems. Your Ruger 10/22 AR conversion would not be considered a "Sniper Rifle". Fourth, the amount of time it takes to fire a TRUE SNIPER SYSTEM, reaquire the sight picture, and fire again, will take more than 30 seconds to do 16 times. Oh, and by the way, 50 yards doesn't make you a great shot Ranger Danger!
So........
With that out of the way, you do have a right to protect yourself in all situations. You also have an internal mechanism that should alert you if something doesn't feel right. If you get that feeling via communication or when you arrive, just excuse yourself. If your warning doesn't go off I'm sure you know Level III from what you posted to start this thread, so you should be fine. Happy Hunting!!!

I do enough research that some thug jumping out of a closet is the least of my concerns. If you are trolling BP or the WW, do what you need to protect yourself.

I don't own a gun or rifle and probably never will so the question is somewhat meaningless to me. Each to his/her own. We can fear the unknown or just not worry about it since the odds are so low of it happening.
Regarding a provider. I think any provider could justify having a gun or some other weapon in her possession during a "date". No matter how good her screening, she is putting her life in the hands of an almost complete stranger at times. If the situation justifies carrying a weapon, do it!
And by the way, just because someone has a CHL and can legally carry, does not mean that the gun is welcome in private residences, whether it be a home or a hotel room. I would hope that anyone would check with the provider and make sure she is comfortable with you wanting to bring a gun into her "home". If anyone brought a gun into my home I would be pissed and that person would not be welcome in my home again.
Forget a weapon.....learn KUNG FU & the Sound Effects, WHOYA. Make sure you practice the sound effects. You'll be FINE!!!
Hiighya ! Works every time , you're right Willard !
I don't own a gun cause I sure as hell would use it and be out of bullets even before I arrive at the Incall (especially when driving I35 or Mopac).
I mean who buys condoms just to practice???
But a little good old self defense never hurts, well only hurts the pinheads who try to rob you.
Plus have you ever heard of a self inflicted Palm Heel to the nose or my favorite, the Scissor finger in the eye, just don't self practice now, and if you do, do tell LOL.
