Gold near 2k an ounce, Depression 2011 ..local changes

Just noticed today that several Motels have cut their rates! Used be any kind of stay would cost $80 or there about, now I see lots of joints in the $40s.

So are rates I see on P ads! Lots of .60 and some .55

For those who have lots to spend it is indeed a good time to shop.

I'm traveling just before and during Labor Day....and been seeing a lot of motels on the cheap. I am booking 4 nights in different places....the highest nightly rate is .40, one's as low as .32. Granted they aren't expensive chains...but a Microtel, Harrah's Casino hotel, Howard Johnson (that was remodeled too no less), places on the weekends you'd normally see .6 - $, just to catch the traveller, and the weekend swinger crowd.
