Modern communication

Am I just too old fashioned? I'm visiting Chi-Town and emailing providers but no one responds. Is email now antiquated? I don't have the cutting-edge social media accounts? What do people use these days?

Email is pretty antiquated for most. Text message or phone call has been the standard for quite some time, at least around here.

I almost always miss emails... text is my favorite option.
