Perfumes are difficult to buy for a lady, since WALDT
.
I would suggest going to CVS, and by the perfume case, there is usually a small display with mini-bottles of perfume in a variety of choices. Pick out several, and maybe she will find a new fragrance that she had not tried before! Put 'em in a pretty bag with a card and she will love it, just because you took the time to think of her..no matter how small the bottles are. Although, I am just a sucker for thoughtfulness, not necessarily how much was spent..
OR, go to said perfume case at CVS (it's just less expensive than the department stores...I used to peddle perfume for Macy's), buy a couple of the shower gels/body washes that every expensive brand carries. It's less expensive, you can buy a few and see what she likes.
I prefer the shower gels/washes, because the scent lasts a LONG time but it is much softer, IMO. Miss Dior Cherie has always been my favorite, as it is very light and slightly floral, but I can't always spring for over $100/bottle sometimes. I have bills to pay, too!
Nordstrom Rack (outlet store for Nordstrom's) has a good selection of very expensive perfumes at up to half price of the retail cost. That's where I get my expensive fix, for a fraction of the price. And no annoying perfume sales ladies!
If you go sniffing, bring a small bag of coffee grounds. Take a whiff between scent-smelling. it cleanses the nasal palate.
Good luck!!
