Ro Khanna (Calif.) and Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.) said they would vote against the rules changes — in the second vote Democrats will take in the majority after ostensibly electing Pelosi (D-Calif.) as the new speaker — because of the inclusion of a fiscal measure known as “pay as you go,” or paygo. That rule, echoing a provision in federal law and in the Senate’s rules, would require the House to offset any spending so as not to increase the budget deficit.


The SPST Anti-Fa faction has made it clear that increasing deficit spending, taxes, and confiscation of means of production to the DPST government is the way they plan to go. Fortunately, Federal law and the Senate stand in their way.

We need less spending on social entitlement and military.

I agree we spend to much on military and handouts. Why is the tax rate lower for corporations that it is for the average citizen? The economy ends up tanking every time a Republican is in office

Agreed - corporations can afford to pay their share , and should do so.

this is to prevent corporations from leaving for other nations who have lower taxes and mainly to keep investment here.


U.S. had one of the highest corporate tax rates (federal & state combined) of any nation and many were leaving for greener pastures.
