This weather is really scary out there, although very pretty but very unsafe! I just tried to back out of my garage to go to the store because I have the strangest craving for some gumbo...

But when looking out my rear view I seen some car spin by and skid, oh no, that was my queue not to go ANYWHERE!

So please my friends are careful out there... If you don’t have to go anywhere don’t and if you do please be cautious and be aware of your surroundings. If you usually have a need for speed like me, today is not the day for it love. Remember you’re not just driving for you but everyone else too. Some Texans can’t drive, I swear. I'd hate to get some bad news about a good friend so don’t make me go through it ok... BE CAREFUL!

Cute avatar..... Ya, it is crazy out there I went to Auto Zone and to the Store around 9am this morning
as long as you go slow it really wasn't to bad...but it is freaking cold out...But there were a lot of cars
stuck on the side of the road, do to them not being able to get any traction....So yes if you have to go
out be very careful....
Folks in DFW are strangers to ice and snow for the most part.
A large majority have no clue on how to drive on it , so the best idea is to stay at home till the roads clear if you can.
Shame I can't curl up by the fire with you Jaleh.
It is a little crazy out there. My usual 10 minute commute to the office took me 55 minutes. The back roads were better because the little patches of snow allowed some traction. I have employees that drove from south Arlington, Rowlett and Mesquite to 635 and 35 without issues. Going home, may be a different story.

Now, if only hot and steaming Jaleh had not made me think about a hot steaming bowl of gumbo. Jaleh and gumbo, two great addictions. I'm starting to feel all warm inside. Thanks, JL.

If you got a couple roofing shingles in your garage... or a neighbors.. this is the kind of weather where those come in handy.

I am about to go out and brave the elements for a little while.... trying to stick to side streets...

Roofing shingles offer more traction than a bag of sand...

very funny
First open a bottle of chilled, flavored vodka. Poor yourself a double. Get some virgin olive oil and flour. Place an olive in the drink very carefully so as not to brooze it. Share the drink. Rub some oil on a virgin and toss the flour in the air while spinning.

Call Jason's Deli and have them deliver the gumbo.

~Ze~, my Queen, you do RULE.
