Colbert Report mysteriously off the air for a few days, maybe longer?

ElisabethWhispers's Avatar
The show has suspended taping due "to a family emergency" and will be off the air (except for repeats) through this week and possibly longer.

No real explanation has been given and it's very odd to me that this has happened.

Thoughts? Hopefully, everything is alright with the Colbert family. If not, I smell a conspiracy.

Elisabeth
I hope everything is ok I love the show.

I hope everything is ok with his family. I know his father and two brothers were killed in a plane crash when he was young. It would be horrible for him to go through another loss like that.

Or maybe this is stupid Colbert joke making fun of Santorum leaving the campaign to be with his sick daughter.

I thought of joke (really my last thought), personal tragedy or perhaps ... and this is coming from being an escort ... someone has made serious threats or stalking.

He was extreme with his campaign to be President of the State of North Carolina. Not sure.

It has stirred up some interest, though.

Grow up.
I think JD was ridiculing Colbert, not Santorum.

What I'm saying is that it's stupid to think that Colbert would mysteriously take a break for THAT reason.

This article suggests it might have something to do with his mother, who's 91:
