Has anyone been to Puerto Palomas? How are the clubs and the girls?

I have been to Palomas. I walked 5 or 6 blocks in when my spidey sense told me that's far enough.
Later, at a restaurant closer to the border, a discreet inquiry si "hay un lugar en Palomas para las putas?" brought nervous laughter from the waiter, who then indicated there are several, and that the best one is 1 or 2 blocks off the main street, and about 6 blocks in from the border, and is named the Flamingo.
I did not have opportunity to investigate further.
Seems pretty dicey, to me. The vibe I got was: small border town, economically ravaged, widespread poverty and desperation.
