Quit Smoking with Electronic Cigarettes. Anyone tried them?

I don't smoke , but my Mom does. She has had several heart issues, and the doctors are insistent about her quitting smoking. I've done some research on Electronic Cigarettes ( E-Cigarettes) and was wondering if anyone has used them or recommends a particular type.

Here is a link...

I gave them a try and gagged and choked for an hour after.

I've been using them for years and have tested several prototypes of new ones. Here is a site that has everything you've ever wanted to know about them.

Ask your mom to read that site. It's full of testimonials and it is like a support group. There is quite a bit written about health and benefits. At the bottom of the site main page is a very long list of companies/suppliers.

They have come a long way since the awful first ecigs sold at the mall just a few years ago. My favorite is the Janty JETS Tank system. They had a distributor in Ft. Worth who then moved to Benbrook, but has now relocated to, I think, New York now.

Thanks JJ. From reading online, V2 and Safe cig seemed to be my top two. It would be nice to have a local distributor.Did you start with a high nicotene content and reduce it over time?
I want to try again as you have brought them to my attention.

I have a friend that has been using one and she really likes its. Not sure which brand it is, but I think she said you can even choose your brand flavor such as camel, winstons...

Good luck!

I bought my Mom a e-cig kit brand name Smoke 51. They have a booth at Town East, Stonebriar, and Collin Creek malls. After one week, she seems to be very satisfied with them. If you are really interested in quitting, go by their stands and check them out. They'll let you try before you buy. Good luck.
