And the guys can't understand why some ask for deposits. Our time is valuable same as yours,
where's the respect people used to show one another? Sometimes it seems like it's really non-existent nowadays

So sorry this happened and it's inexcusable.

Unfortunately it happens, just part of the hobby. If I had a dollar for every time I have driven an hour and been flaked on, I would have enough moneya to fll up my tank of my truck .

Hold your head high, block the number, but just remember it's him. Not you or other hobbyists.

And this issue stems from experiences with bad clients and with people who pretend to be clients for their own petty amusements. I can see how requesting a deposit might help you with avoiding some of those people. I have similar issues with trust and deposits are just one of several things that to me are red flags. I have also passed on ads because the photos looked too professional or something about the grammar seemed strange. Maybe they were legit. I’ll never know and I’m okay with that. There is also a difference between a provider found from looking through ads on STG and another found from reading reviews on ECCIE or OH2. I wouldn’t be as quick to dismiss the latter as I would the former.

When arranging to see an Indy Provider I tend to schedule several days out. Sometimes its a week away. That can be an eon in the Hobby World and things can change.

So i start by cpntacting several providers. I am not an active hobbyist, so its always a "first time" for myself and the provider. Not everyone is a good fit. Not everyone can schedule that far out. By the day-before-the-day-before The Day, things are pretty solid and we are down to two providers available and willing to see me. And I call one to cancel.

I hobby infrequently. My references from previous sessions have forgotten me, moved out of town or are retired. Retired and living with family, arranging time off the grid is delicate. So I do explore the posabilities with two or threeIndy providers and hope things come together.

Lately, and for the past several years, these complications have meant that I have been doing AMP sessions where I can walk in with little or no notice. Don't like AMP sessions much. Would prefer a two hour session with an Indy lady in at her nice in-call l;ocation. But its what I can do for now.

There is never an excuse to not follow through on a commitment, but if the latter here, consider yourself lucky. I've actually (early on) gotten burned by providers where I hosted the outcall AND paid a deposit. - yeah, stupid on my part. I've had providers agree to times (many days ahead of time), only to be unprepared, be over 30 minutes late, or need to reschedule hours later. I've had providers agree to dates/times only for them to be incommunicado until I post a NCNS review on eccie. I've also had women who were 100% professional who took pride in their reputation and treated me extraordinary.

Its about maturity. Have a pair and communicate you can't fulfill your obligation ahead of time instead of running away from every challenging life situation. Goes for providers and tricks, alike.

My policy is never ever get an incall for that 1 person becuase depending on his reliability is a big risk. Having a good job and making a paycheck will make up for it. This is only my Fun Money part time xoxox

Let him host.

If good cause is given I feel that’s acceptable but to just no show isn’t. I here about other providers doing it all the time though…

If a provider cancels on me, even if it's an hour before. I fine with that no harm no foul.

But, if I confirm an appointment an hour before and she responds confirming the appointment is on, then no Shows. That is very low, and inexcusable.
