Email Issue...

I just recently broke my phone...Im locked out my email also..I was able to log into my eccie account with no problem and change my contact number ..but since I'm locked out my email..I would like to change my email..to change it though..is there anyway that it will allow me to change it without sending a reset link to my old one for it to work..I can't afford to be locked out eccie and I also don't know how to contact the moderators in my area for help...

You can change the email account for your profile in the user CP. Select User Profile. Then select Edit Password and Email. Since your logged into Eccie, you dont need access to your old email account to change it.

Also, to prevent this in the future, all email accounts ask you to enter a second email account and or phone number so you can recover the account if you forget the password. Use this feature. It will save you a lot of trouble

Here is how to change the email address and/or password.

1. Go to the User CP link in the Main Menu on the left of this page.
2. Go to the Edit Your Details link on the left
3. In the Email & Password section, click on the Edit Email & Password button.
4. Enter your changes then click on the Save Changes button.
5. You will receive an email from the system that has instructions on how to confirm the changes you made. It is very important that you follow those instructions exactly. Failure to do so will result in the system not allowing you to do anything but read and write PM's.

If you changed your email address then the email from the system will be sent to the new address, not the previous one.
