we need

We need a private area for ladies and gents to Post. It could be set up so that ladies had to invite guys to it and guys had to invite ladies to it and only could join after doing reviews on the ladies. That way we can keep people out that we don't want being there. At least try and keep them out.

Just a thought. Right now if we have a warning we want to post for guys and girls alike everyone can see it and that kinda defeats the purpose.

You could always become a Clubhouse Forum owner ...which are private, invite only areas of the board.

If you click on your control panel on the left, scroll down to the Miscellaneous section, then click on "Paid Subscriptions" ....then scroll down to the end, the last thing listed is the Clubhouse Forum Owner part.

What JCM said- that is the only way for you to have this sort of forum.

Wow that is 350.00 for 3months. Screw that. I'll just put it in public and let LE no we no, or not say anything at all or I'll post it in GBNs private area for ladies and gents and tell the people to go there to see important info.

#27 - ECCIE policy regarding the discussion of competing websites is intended to exhibit a straight-forward and simple approach. We do not disallow mention of other sites here at ECCIE, however we ask that you limit those discussions to the "Other Hobby Sites" thread located in the Member Suggestions and Feedback forum. This is the area that we have designated as being an appropriate outlet for these types of discussions. Posts of this nature made in other forums throughout the board will be merged into this location. If you find these types of posts in your local forums, please use the RTM function to report them to staff.

I also mention Eccie on all the sites I am on. Each site offers different things. I'm not telling anyone to leave here or anywhere else. Just trying to help them stay safe.
I have seen mods on this site talk about being a mod for eccie on other sites.
I just don't see the harm in informing people.

It is ECCIE's policy that we do not freely promote other review sites. That is in the guidelines and in the signature guidelines. "Freely" is the key here. That is why you will see ads for other sites around about. We do promote P411 to a point because they are an ECCIE sponsor.

You have several places to let the community know what is going on. There is the powder room for the ladies and the men's lounge for the gents. There are alert and Infoshare forums in each area. You also have the option of renting your own "club" on ECCIE and several have done so.

If you truly desire to keep the community safe you would think you would be interested in keeping the whole community safe and post in the forums provided to you by the community. If you are worried about LE then that's a fool's errand since you have to assume they have access to all areas of any board that you are on.
