A Scared Newbie

I know you can't offer me any guarantees, but I'm just plain afraid. The provider I have an appointment with is extensively reviewed on ECCIE. Her reviews go back years and part of my attraction were many references to safe play. I was not opposed to her verification process which included my sending my business card from my personal email account. I was involved in this hobby 20 plus years ago in the ASPD days, but it appears to be a brave new world out there. Suggestions?
so what are you scared of....? If your from the ASPD days then you should know what to do..... plain and simple.
Another good old Aspd days member looking for someone to hold his hand

How did you guys get screened back then? You sent pigeons to providers incalls with appointment requests?
I agree Nubian....

I'm from back in the aspd days and I see no difference in what the girls asked back then to what they ask now..... same request for references and such...

I just don't get it....

If it's been 20 years since you last hobbied, you should invest in a membership in Preferred 411. Might allay some of your fears.
you're fucked already

If you are scared of the verification process, don't see providers who want you to verify. I do agree about using p411. I also agree with GS, if you are this scared, you are already fucked.
once you get one down you'll be OK.
I'd be more scared about what shows up
At least you did some research on who you sent your personal info to.
I was also on ASPD

You should definitely get onto P411, screening will be a breeze then. Welcome aboard sweetie and have Fun!

If you're really afraid, don't go see Alyssa. She just got back from a year long ban for outing member's personal information...

Now to the OP. I would never let a provider near my work or family info. That is just a line I don't cross with people who can choose to blackmail me or just screw me over, not even P411 gets that info.

Ah Wakeup... you are just full of sour grapes. Hasn't she done her time for her crime? "NOT"

YOU should be banned. Far more people would cheer.

You stalk all of her reviews and followed her on this thread in less than 6 minutes.

It's like she owns you....lmfao.

Maybe you didn't read this one....

#17 - "Cyber Stalking" is a term that refers to the act of following another member around online. This may include persistent PMing of the other party, repeated ISOs about the other party, or excessive bumping of reviews or posting in threads about the other individual, whether it be positive or negative information posted. In any of these cases, whether staff deems that the behavior has crossed the line into cyber-stalking, or the "stalked" party complains to staff about the alleged behavior, staff will take the necessary steps to make it stop. Please avoid becoming involved in this type of conduct.

...me thinks that then vs. now has great similarities even tho the 'technology' has changed... now we all have smart phones, hobby phones, e-mail, PMs... etc so lots of ways to communicate vs. before. Also, ads are electronic and RT vs classifieds in back of news papers, etc

motivation of the providers is legit john (not LE or nut job) that will show up and donate... motivation of the monger is to have a play date (with a legit provider, not LE, not her pimp and not BSC) at an affordable rate with services more/less as expected...

...and so communicate - then use your good judgement to proceed to the next step... some providers are not for you... and that's OK... and there are MANY more available everyday. Be careful and be patient. Research... but no need to 'overthink'... minimize risk... but recognize that you cannot eliminate risk.

Probably best for you to find newbie friendly providers initially... all the best...
