Prepaid credit card to pay for premium subscription

I bought two different prepaid credit cards to pay for a premium subscription. The credit card site would not accept them. According to the credit card companies, it's because the billing company tries to validate them as regular cards with matching billing addresses etc. I called the billing company, no help. Any ideas?

To get a pre-paid card to function just like a full credit card you have to register one at the issuer.

American Express has a pre-paid card that functions as a full credit card once you register with them.

I believe Green dot Visa may have the same process.
yes that is true there should be a website printed on back of the card go to that then register it. Usually U only have to register the zip code so the name and address can be anything U want when U go to pay for something online

The process to take credit cards includes the matching of a billing address associated with the presentation of the card for payment.

So you have to give an address when you sign up for your account and then you more than likely give it again for certain card payments. When these match, the request is processed.

My card was declined, so i called gd to find out what was going on.
I was told they noticed i was using it for an adult site and that wasnt the"purpose" of green dot. The guy told me i could only use it to purchase "items".
Green dot does not work out side the US, and ALOT of the payment processing centers are outside the US. I do not know which if any prepaid cards work outside of the us you would think at-least one out there would.

Sorry I am no help just wanted to throw that out there.
Try entropay.com

As to processing outside the US, I believe there is some federal legislation pending that has a lot of outside the US processing centers denying come credit cards.

Not sure about this, just early an early coffee small memory!
Happy day to alls!
I bought a green dot visa today (before reading this thread) and the charge was denied. Green dot told me it was denied because purchases are not allowed from outside the US. I called ccbill and they are processing this charge outside the US.

Bummer! I'm disappointed!
i use netspend, u do fully have to register it though, via proof of id, ssn, address and full name as u would a regular credit card even though it is a prepaid debit card but works just as fine internationally and all i have used it for almost 3 years now. love it!
I also tried to pay for premium access with a pre-paid visa (Vanilla Gift Card), but was declined by CCBill. The card is only registered with a zip code, no address or name is associated with the card. I am not offered any alternative payment method either.

I see that CCBill is processing the charges outside the US. Most cards will not work outside the US.

Can anyone offer some help here? Either what card should I get, or give a workaround with this card?

Thanks

Look at the cards offered by American Express.
