I am tossing around the idea of coming down to Houston for a visit... Where is a good place to stay? What area? And, what are some fun things to do while down there?

that will give you some good ideas of the various areas of Houston and some good places to stay and some to avoid.

Basically there is Downtown, The Galleria, The Energy Corridor and areas by the airports. These are the most common, but there are other areas to consider.
