camping & canoeing in NWA

Ill be visiting NWA soon...and am looking for a fun campgrounds to stay at with some hiking & canoeing or tubing available.
I prefer the route from Jasper area to home...and east or west and north.....
not south of Jasper.

suggestions please...Thanks!

Last week I drove up hwy 21 from Clarksville thru Ozark National Forest onto hwy 43 thru Ponca on my way to Harrison. Jasper is not far from Ponca. Beautiful drive lots of hiking trails and Buffalo River. Saw a lot of people out an about with kayaks on there vehicles. I’m definitely going to spend some time in that area this summer.

Buffalo river is good for kayaking. Water is high at the moment . But was ok last weekend

Water is high so and crowded on the weekends.

I’ve always wanted to go camping at Devil’s Den state park.

Not big into roughing it. I would probably rent one of those little cabins. Lol
