The question is whether they 'can' seek your indictment and the answer is 'yes', but they won't per what Big Deal said and would have to have more. Typical federal jurisdiction is exercised in instances that are based upon illegal interstate commerce such as interstate prostitution, child porn, human trafficking (all under the Mann Act); kidnapping, wire transactions related to illegal activity, illegal postal transactions, illegal Internet/wireless/cell arrangements/transactions, and failure to pay federal taxes on the money you get. You aren't worth the trouble to them without a major reason usually related to something else. Even 30's mobster Al Capone dodged federal charges for such similar things in his era, and was finally stopped only by being indicted and convicted of tax evasion. Heidi Fleiss types interest them, you likely would not.

Now this is a rumor I've heard but I understand that accepting money in exchange for sex is against the law. It doesn't matter where that happens, in the car, on the street, in the alley, in a motel room, or in your own home. Yes, I know that sucks but that seems to be the law. Will the feds get involved? Not likely unless there are drugs, sex slaves, or underage sex workers. You have to worry about the local police though. There have been some high profile busts in the area involving a woman in her own home. Screening is the only way to reduce the chance of getting busted. It will not eliminate it, not 100%, but it can reduce the risk. If you think you can trust your date then you can wait until afterwards to recieve the donation. That way the officer has violated the law before you violate the law. If he tries to push the donation to you then politely say that are mistaken and ask him to leave.

The feds would only get involved if you violated federal law, such as crossing state lines, under age activities, etc. Other wise it is a state or municipality issue.
Or the neighbors report you for having different men showing up, and think you are having classes for terrorists.
