I only attended my last two years of high school in the U.S. Yes, this is how the majority of them act. I used to hang out with them and I found it hilarious. Guess what? the Valedictorion of my high school was also black and he got accepted to HYP. So there's that.

It was obviously satire as projected by the actors, and they must have included some of the worst behaviors from their old schools in their little lampoon. Can't you allow that they were inspired by real life?

My high school was all white people and brown people, and all the brown people except a few dropped out by senior year, and made good money in various trades, so I really can't imagine such disrespect of the teachers, and no consequences for abdication of responsibility.
Then again, I wasn't accepted at Harvard, Yale or Princeton. So I guess I'm just "The Unknown Liberal."

I was in high school during the very early 70s.
During my time there the school transitioned from majority white to majority black to the tune of about 90 percent black to 10 percent white including "others".
The curriculum regressed during that time where 11th grade English was on the 8th grade level.
I got into trouble for pointing it out. I had zero issues with any of the black students but did have issues with a couple of black teachers, one of which had an extremely large chip on her shoulder. I did see the isolated racism from a couple of redneck idiots but saw a lot more from a number of mad at the world blacks. More than half of the black students were regular people that were there to get an education and make something of themselves, the rest were headed for a life of difficulty and more than likely prison. Oh, and the redneck idiots were probably going to end up joining them there as well.

The upside to being in school at that time was also the downside. I did not have to do shit in order to graduate in the top of my class. The last three years of my public education was basically remedial and as a result required little to no study.

It does not matter what your color or race may be. There are bad people and there are good people. None of them should characterize either.
