Oh Dear people of Alabama, please help out this kind soul.

Candi, been there a couple of times. Beautiful place.

Unfortunately, i'm not a native there so I can't leave any recommendations.
You should stay near the summit on 280 or near the galleria in Hoover. Both are fairly nice areas and have nice places to stay. When will you be in alabama?

I actually lived in Birmingham (Well, Alabaster) for
5 years when I was younger!
It's definitely beautiful there, I actually know the areas
and my way around for the most part.
Just obviously not the good Hobby areas!

Hoover area is best...nice hotels/and shopping

have fun
if you stay on 280 stay close to I-459, avoid the low rent places that are about a mile south, they are now a problem, not to mention hard to access most of the day due to traffic, I would suggest the galleria, it has a lot to offer, pm if you have questions thay I may help with.

Although I do have a small Saks addiction, I think I've decided to go ahead and stay around Hoover. Thank you so much!
