Planning a trip

I am planning a trip to a few cities in August..What I need to know is where to stay in the following cities and any extra info on them would be great...

Chattanooga
Knoxville
Clarksville

I have yet to try Chattanooga or Clarksville but I really liked Knoxville (need to get back to Knox soon myself). Knoxville i'd hang around the western side of the city.
