Guys pretending to be someone else

I had been talking to a guy on here for quite some while now and when I received a phone call 3 days ago from someone saying it was him I believed it because we have communicated before through eccie. Yesterday I decided to contact the guy and spoke and also brought up our little time that we have spent together and he replied back and stated that it wasnt him that i seen and how the guy lied and used his handle. It kind of freaked me out for a minute and I kind of figured that the guy was playing games until he told me to contact his references and get a brief description. Which didnt fit the guy description that I seen. I mean the guy was legit but it's just kind of scary to be put in a situation like this anything could of happened and I could of written an alert on the wrong guy . I usually have the guy to pm me on here if he calls or email me so that I can verify that he is who he says he is, but in this case I felt like their was no need because me and the guy have chatted before about meeting up . My question is why do some do this and they are legit? Why not get p411 or something like that?

Confirming the appointment by pm is something you should think about. I have had a guy ask to use my name and a guy that used it to try and meet a girl.

I had a guy call a girl and say he was me. It didn't work as well as he thought it would since she knew me and blasted him lol.

It maybe was one of the guys that I didn't want to see. I normally have the guy to pm me on here so that I can verify that he is who he say he is, but in this case I didnt because me and the guy he claimed to be had been talking in chat about meeting up pretty soon and i figured that the night has finally came. Oh well i guess I learn from my mistakes

You may have a point...the Whores Who Hate Wakeup thread only has a dozen or so names on it...that number may be so low because all you nice guys are pretending to be me when you see these girls...
