Fun XMAS Destinations

Perhaps, I am lazy, or maybe there are just so many options.... I am looking for ideas on where to go over the holiday, as I am not in the XMAS mood these days. I am looking for somewhere warm, not necessarily a beach scene, and somewhere that maybe has some sight seeing options that are open over the holidays. Nice accommodations, upscale restaurants, and maybe upscale shopping would be nice. I thought about maybe a little cruise to Catalina. Does anyone have any ideas or experience with this???

Sigh, isn't winter for snow and skiing? Followed by fireplaces and warm fuzzy sweaters later that evening?
