I'm curious to know if there are non-technical reasons for not using https on this site. Especially for the login page

The site converted to https earlier this year. Resulted in numerous technical bugs which absolutely impacted user experience. Had to shut it down until the tech issues can either be resolved or a workaround in place. Development team has been on it and we should see something rolled out in Q1 or early Q2.
The site administration recognizes the desire for https and fully intend to make the transition in as timely a manner as possible.
In the meantime, let's all go get laid!
