Maybe I am stupid but what is your point? Is this a thinly veiled request for help of some kind?

Perhaps multiple choice could accelerate us solving this mystery:

(a) A provider you've known is asking for help and promising something in return (i.e. I use your place for clients and you get new clients from the exposure)

(b) You find yourself in a predicament and if a client can help you now you will return the favor in the future.

(c) A client wants you to be solo with him (or an ex) and he in turn will satisfy your monetary needs.
