Trump says 'there should be no Mueller report'

President Donald Trump on Friday insisted there should be no report from special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe, denouncing the investigation as "illegal."

"So, if there was knowingly & acknowledged to be 'zero' crime when the Special Counsel was appointed, and if the appointment was made based on the Fake Dossier (paid for by Crooked Hillary) and now disgraced Andrew McCabe (he & all stated no crime), then the Special Counsel...should never have been appointed and there should be no Mueller Report," the president tweeted Friday.

Trump has repeatedly called Mueller's probe into whether Russia colluded with the president's 2016 campaign a "witch hunt." Despite his criticisms, the president has maintained that he has cooperated fully with the investigation, which also includes whether Trump tried to obstruct justice.

Mueller's investigation is reportedly winding down, and lawmakers on both sides have called on the special counsel's report to be made public once the probe is completed.

The House on Thursday passed a resolution 420-0 urging the Justice Department to make Mueller’s findings and full report public and available to Congress. Senate Republicans, however, blocked the bill.

The president on Friday also complained that the probe was only started as an excuse for Democrats losing the 2016 election.

"This was an illegal & conflicted investigation in search of a crime," he tweeted, adding "Russian Collusion was nothing more than an excuse by the Democrats for losing an Election that they thought they were going to win."

"THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN TO A PRESIDENT AGAIN!" Trump concluded.

By law, it is AG Barr who reads the report and decides what to release.
Law passed by Congress .

Not Trump's prerogative to interfere.
POTUS should keep his mouth shut and stay out of meddling with the report and /or release of the report.

There will plenty of challenges and subpoenas to get the "Facts of the report" from the DPST house leaders Schiff, Cummings, et al looking to drum up any real evidence against Trump.

Barr is well aware of the political side of the report.

Schiff, et all - are playing McCarthy caricatures quite effectively.

And for the Leftists here - it is prerogative, not pejorative, to clarify Your Confusion.

Trumps a dirty ass wipe. The dumb ass does not realize that he is backing barr into a corner by speaking at all about it.

Barr almost has to now, even if he otherwise wouldn't .

Trump is the most ignorant, out of touch, fuckup to ever walk on this planet.

Should the president need removal, who does it?

I mean physically not politically.

Any president who refuses to leave.

Impeachment in the United States is the process by which the lower house of a legislature brings charges against a civil officer of government for crimes alleged to have been committed, analogous to the bringing of an indictment by a grand jury. At the federal level, this is at the discretion of the House of Representatives. Most impeachments have concerned alleged crimes committed while in office, though there have been a few cases in which officials have been impeached and subsequently convicted for crimes committed prior to taking office.[1] The impeached official remains in office until a trial is held. That trial, and their removal from office if convicted, is separate from the act of impeachment itself. Analogous to a trial before a judge and jury, these proceedings are (where the legislature is bicameral) conducted by upper house of the legislature, which at the federal level is the Senate.
At the federal level, Article I, Section 2, Clause 5 of the Constitution grants to the House of Representatives "the sole power of impeachment", and Article I, Section 3, Clause 6 grants to the Senate "the sole Power to try all Impeachments". In considering articles of impeachment, the House is obligated to base any charges on the constitutional standards specified in Article II, Section 4: "The President, Vice President, and all civil Officers of the United States shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other High Crimes and Misdemeanors"

Why does a guy want a report to be withheld from the public that would ultimately clear him?

On the otherhand, if he is suddenly removed by the Senate after articles of impeachment from the house are rushed over, MAGA supporters will most certainly want to know what was in that report that justified that.

No matter which side you fall on, it's easy to see why it would be good for the publics trust in their government to see the thing.

Impeachment and trial does not happen suddenly.
The current House majority would happily Impeach Trump for the offense of "Breathing"
Conviction in the Senate without clear evidence of High crimes and/or misdemeanors is much less likely.

first - the Mueller report will be forwarded ot AG Barr - Who has legal purview to review and release in his best judgment.

Is Barr aware of the politics and likely legal challenges to anything but a complete release of total report - Certainly.

That is the legal reality.

That written, i agree with Grean.

Now- where is SomeOne to post fake news, nazi, russian, ydkys.

It would have to be something of monsterous criminal behavior for the Republican controlled senate to remove him. They aren't going to remove him over some technicality.
