How to get a hobby phone?

How do you get a hobby phone without getting statements in the mail? This could arouse questions.

Every now and then providers send texts or call me even though I ask them not to. I'm sure they just forget. This could cause problems. Remember Tiger Woods?

JS - Do your research and look in the Men's Lounge. Lot's of threads have addressed this subject, including mine. Short story of what I did -

Go to Kroger and pay cash for the phone and activation minutes. (Don't use your frequent shopper card, LOL! Get a new card if you need one to get a discount.)

Activate on a anonymous phone, i.e. pay phone, library phone, hotel phone, etc. That's all I did and am so glad I did.
