MY BIG MONKEY.....Made me think.....

So Today was the official start for My annual TOYS FOR TOTS FUNDRAISER.
This is the eleventh Year I have done it and I LOVE DOING IT.
So My first toy was brought in and it was a big ole soft stuffed Monkey so sweet good for a boy or a girl and I really like it myself but I WILL part from it; only after I take pictures with it. I just want to hug it. It is so soft. lol

So I was wondering what the guys thought when us ladies ask yall to bring things other than your full load. Is it a hassle to you?
Even if it is just wine? or chocolates?
Does it matter if you are offered a 25 dollar discount for something that may cost 5 or 10? Or if it is going to a good cause?

Do you feel like you are already giving to the Lady and she is already giving to you that a third party give is not relivant to the hobby

I know what I think but this is not only about me so kind of wondered what yall thought.. Ladies feel free to chime in as well.
Majic,

I am currently working with KACI in her quest for donations for the holidays to the Arlington Life shelter. I have had great responses from hobbyist about this event. I think its a great idea... if you offer the suggestion beforehand, MOST will be helpful.

Good luck for your cause.
Wish you all the best.

Ladies.......I think...helping out is a good thing......I know times are tough but when you see the smile and the big bright eyes of a child getting a gift...I would say 90% of the men and women feel good and a warm spot in their heart. When my SO was alive...we would spend $600.00, ( 1 needed family and toys to the local VFW for toys for children ).Now that she is gone my income is way less but I give the same amount..I cut back on my escort visits but it's for the kids of families in need.My grandkids donate at the local stores where the Salvation Army is.
I think..what goes around..comes around..if done for the right reasons.
God Bless All

Giving is the true spirit of the holiday season. In this case, the third party consists of children and there is nothing more important than helping a child grow to learn the spirit of giving.

More than once I've seen the quote "caring is sharing" on this board and it definitely applies now.
