Town of West, Texas Donations
Gallery Furniture is stepping up again ....
.............. taking donations to truck to West, Texas.
Bedding, clothing, foot, blankets, water, you name it.
Some of those who lived, lost everything.
North Freeway Store through Sunday for drop offs.
FYI: They are short on boxes. They are boxing the stuff, if you can also.
I stopped by last night and dropped some stuff off. It was uplifting to see how many people were out there helping out in some form or fashion. They said they have LOTS of water so clothes, blankets, cash, baby items and person toiletries were needed most.

I think of things I needed most during Ike for weeks with o lights and batteries are number one. Light is very much so taken for granted and sucked to have to ration it out at night. I got a couple old personal DVD players that work maybe ill drop them off I used them a well during the dark days. Got the I pad now so would use that if another Ike hits.
FYI: Was told to bring things in boxes, and if you have any extra boxes they need them.
FYI: Off Gallery Furniture Website: NOTICE
"As per official request from the city of West, we will no longer be accepting physical goods as donations. If you are already on the way we will still accept them for the last truckload, and we truly appreciate your generosity!
"We will still be accepting monetary donations in the form of gift cards to various local retailers to help the families of West begin the arduous process of rebuilding their lives. The entire staff at Gallery Furniture would like to thank the city of Houston for showing such awesome initiative these past few days, we truly could not have done this without you."
