I was unaware that my old account was still registered

Hi, I recently opened a account by the name of AlongCameHoney. I was just told that my old account was still active and I would get in trouble for having multiple handles.
He says I have to have this recent account disabled and I have to go back to the other account.
I wouldn't be able to get into that account being as I don't have access to the email address that I had associated with this account.
What do I need to do to get it switched to my other email.

Is it possible to disable old account and keep the new one please.
