Banner Monopolization

Is it just me or does Chelsea Simms and Brenda Boobies have a complete stranglehold on the banner advertisements?

Not sure if the banners are generalized or targeted to users based on their site browsing choices. But, I'm getting a steady diet of those two banner ads as I surf eccie dot net.

Not complaining. Just wonderin.

Maybe they are the only folks who have bought ad space there.. Those spots aren't cheap it appears.

I'm pretty sure she pays a premium for that space and eccie does have to pay bandwidth.
They are basically the only two providers here who are paying for that spot. The other ones are using those free cookie-cutter websites and all the free advertising they can get. Instead of bashing them, you should be congratulating them for having a clue when it comes to marketing. It got YOU to post a thread in co-ed..

To me, banner ads like those that fail to mention where they are located will NEVER be clicked because I can't stand wasting time clicking on a banner to increase their traffic count when they are no where near me.

I was genuinely curious if we are all seeing the same ads or if this vBulletin board was somehow profiling what I clicked on here and suggesting to me like Yahoo ads do.

Dannie and I are working out our differences in communication styles using another channel.

Carry on - if anyone cares to do so.

Those spots on the "new" banner bar are premium because they are not collapsible. They do NOT rotate like the Header Bar Banners.

AND they are different in each area- like Main has one provider- Dallas has Brenda and Chelsea... I am only guessing, but that to me says that both the above ladies are local?

I think they could fit one more banner up there....

*note* Brenda's banner links to no where?

Ze - The link worked for me too.

PMD - A feature that "suggested" providers to me based on my browsing habits here might be interesting. Maybe scary at times, but interesting nonetheless. Kind of like the old Tivo I used to have would suggest shows or movies to me based on what I watched. I get by without it but might be a nice new feature.
