It's in the parking lot of the BBQ place behind the 7/Eleven with two cops just hanging out. Might be nothing, but I thought I'd share. I'd be particularly careful this evening.

so you saw a few cops in a parking lot and automatically assume? Where the flip are they suppose to be? Can we get an alert thread for speed traps too? those are the ones who get me.

Unless there is a cluster of providers right in that spot, or you were doing something you werent suppose to (just kidding) then you have nothing to fear!

I ignore it go back in, come back out a few hours later and it's still there. I walk toward the van to make sure no one was dead or passed out drunk in it, and the driver rolls the window down. After a little back and forth he explained that that area of town is a very common place for the girls on Harry Hines to take their clientele. Weird cuz he wasn't in a good spot to see much other than our parked cars and people whizzing by on 114. Tall fences blocked visibility everywhere else. I figure the people that own all those businesses are complaining about the pornographic scenes of their CCTV overnight recordings and the presence of used rubbers on the ground. The police get enough complaints they have to show they are addressing it so they dispatch a guy in one of their vans to make appearances in certain areas to discourage some activity there so it'll seem like something got done. Ya gotta love that DPD approach: was some killed, injured or kidnapped? No, ok will send a guy around to makes notes. They are busy solving real crimes, not fund raising with traffic tickets and harsh enforcement of pettyy misdemeanors.

The paddy wagon stays away from the site where a bust will take place and roll into action when they are called. Or maybe they were buying BBQ for the boys and girls at the station ...

Wouldn't that be a good cover, use a paddy wagon as a rolling incall?
