which is

and put it in between

which appears when you click the last icon on your post window (the youtube square)




and you have this

Mokoa's subsequent instruction said to insert the video ID -- I assumed all of the characters after then "/" was part of the ID (in another thread it instructs to include everything after the "/").

But now I know to excluded "watch?=" and it's all good.

Yes, the View ID I referred to is just the View ID itself, not the keyword parms in front of it.
