layers of makeup or imperfect skin?

Can i somehow get this to be a poll?
Let's face it, no one is perfect. I have freckles, sensitive skin, and scar easily because I'm a ginger. Luckily i tan easily from the Italian in my genes so i can hide some of that with a trip to the oven at the gym or spa once a week, even then no one is perfect.
I see in some reviews gents discuss complexion and makeup. I usually go no foundation or light powder.
I don't want to look like i put it on with a butter knife or have it smudge onto someone. Foundation is usually a slippery slope usually the more you wear the more you start needing to wear it because it clogs your pores.
Would you rather imperfections just there because we are human or covered a bit or caked over?
This is me in all my glory in a bright flash so my tan can't hide my flaws, you can see my red dots from getting my lip and eyebrows waxed and the bags under my eyes. Leave it or cover it? Is this acceptable for a date? Is it a negative review worthy "bad complexion"?
Curious about how men think, i would LOVE a poll on it.
Beauty is only a light switch away! JK Lexxxy. For me, less is better. Make up should enhance a women's beauty, not create it. Some ladies wear so much, its like kissing a piece of cardboard. Love freckles!

The more natural the better. I say that and then, sure, a few things one will see can detract from an experience. But in general, I don't go for a product that I can't use at the full splendor it is marketed for. So I'd rather see the real thing.

Did you hear what happened when they took off all of Tammy Faye's makeup?
They found Jimmy Hoffa.
Less is better if done well for most.
I'm ok with the few I see,
none save it for the next guy who needs the act to get his action

This one is perfect for troubled skin. I use the hot pink version. Very natural. It doesn't have a matte finish which doesn't look so great as you get older.

Not as if that's germane to anything, i just wanted to relive the experience.
How romantic.

Many times less is better
I think a lot of guys don't realize that most women wear makeup to look "normal " or "natural" whether it's eye makeup, or a little concealer.

I prefer "smoky eyes", but other than that less is more.
