Jerry Jones has ...

... fired EVERY coach the Cowboys have ever had. Now that's a record not many owners can claim, or be proud of. You can only blame the coach so much. If you think the Horns have phoned in their games you need to look at the Plowboys this year.

I'm not sure Jerry fired Jimmy Johnson. I think Jimmy told Jerry to get fucked. Of course maybe after that comment Jerry said "you can't say that to me, you're fired".

Maybe Jerry should hire the Papa Johns guy...or his Botox supplier...
Guys like Jones and Cuban spend their lives working really hard to become billionaires so that they can throw it all away on a childish dream of owning a sports team.

Of course these guys are gonna be stupid. They're not even adults.

To the athletes they hire what they're doing is a business, but to this kind of owner it's not a business...it's a sports dream.
Wish I could throw it all away on a childish dream of owning a sports team. That would be a blast.

Jerry needs to take a look at his own interference to the coaching of the COWBOYS and stay in the owners box and get a coach with Balls. Cuban is different from Jones he is at least entertaining and pays his fines with pennies.

Jerry Jones is the best owner in pro sports period, however, his ego gets in the way.

I called the zone today with an excellent idea that they ate up! You have two great WR's in Miles Austin and Dez Bryant. We all know that you really can't have two great wideouts for the long term. You trade Miles Austin with a package deal and add Barber. You will fetch at least one first round pick and second. Shop the trade in the off season to a team like St. Louis or Carolina, who need a great wideout to speed the development of their young QB's Claussen and Bradford.

Dallas will already be picking somewhere in the top 5 of the draft because of our shitty record. Imagine using those two picks you would get for Austin PLUS your top pick in the first round. I would use the picks I would get for Austin and draft some bad ass cornfed boys to revamp that O Line. The top 5 pick I would try and get a shut down corner or top safety.

I think this would def help out Dallas. No sense in keeping two top wideouts. You only need one big WR and Big Roy is solid as a second and third option wideout....

I understand his agreement on the new stadium nets him $1,000,000.00 every time it's used. Nice work if you can get it.!

Sixx I thought he was a good owner until he fucked things up with Jimmy Johnson. It was Jimmy that sold Herschel Walker to the vikings for all those draft picks and linemen not Jerry. Had Jerry not screwed us with Jimmy we would have at least one more super bowl win maybe two.

Sixx your idea sounds good we are lacking in the Oline and secondary, but we are right now a very undisciplined team simple mistakes and penalties show that.

Let's see -- the Cowboys have exactly 1 playoff victory since 1996. As Wyldman said, it was Jimmy Johnson who was responsible for the Walker trade which brought all the talent to Dallas and enabled them to win super bowls during Jerry's tenure. Jerry now looks to hire coaches like Chan Galley, Dave Campo, Bill Parcells (who turned the team around and led them to their first winning season and playoff appearance in seasons) and Wade Phillips. I'm sure one reason Parcells left was due to Jerry.

I prefer owners like the Rooneys in Pittsburgh and the Maras in New York. Guys who stay in the background and hire GMs and coaches who know the business and do what it takes to win.

I personally love to see Jerry Jones in his luxury suite watching as the Cowboys go down into defeat again and again.
