Vince Carter and ... Lamar Odom to Mavs?!!

Hell yeah! I'm pretty sure Carter's deal is done... and Lakers are gonna throw us Lamar friggen Odom in a trade... Say what you will about them being old and washed up... Both of them averaged about 14 pts a game last year. Odom is a big dude (6' 10" 230 lbs) and will help out a ton!

Also, Chris Paul is NOTTTTTTT going to the Lakers after all, which helps out the Mavs in the Western Conference.

I am pumped!!!

I'm not sure if Odom is here for the duration or is a trade chip to use for someone else, specifically CP3. A Dallas/Houston/New Orleans deal might be interesting to try to pull off. But without Gasol, it's hard to see who goes to Houston.

I could also see him being an additional chip in the pursuit of Dwight Howard, but Surely they can get more for Howard than an the expiring contract of Lamar Odom!! So maybe he's here for a year and then gone. He's rally a better 4 than a 3, but I guess he back back up both Trix and Dirk, or start at the 3 with Trix coming off the bench and then slide over and back up Dirk?

It's great because we got him in a salary dump, but I'm not sure he's a really good fit. Thoughts?

I'm not sure either TTH, but he at least has tons of experience. I'm pretty excited to see what transpires. You're right tho, maybe we can trade a few guys off for Howard... Cuban and Nelson are tricky!

The Mavericks are dead in the water without Tyson Chandler. Dwight Howard will only sign an extention in Jersey with Deron Williams or in LA with Kobe. Chris Paul will only sign an extention in LA with Kobe or in NY with Carmelo. Both guys have made their intentions pretty clear. They want to be part of a Miami style team of stars. I don't think teaming with Dirk and Jason Terry qualifies. This year Mavs fans can only look forward to a 40 year old point guard playing in a short season crammed with back-to-backs and back-to-back-to-backs. That should go well.
Odoms best days are past. He's one of the top reasons Lakers watched the finals at home last year. We need him like a hole in the head. I sincerely hope TTH is right and he's part of a bigger deal. As for Vince Carter....if this team is turning into a Senior League contender, he will fit right in.

I'm not loving this turn of events so far. But we'll always have the 2011 title!!
I don't get why there's so much love for this odom trade... In my opinion he doesn't really help the mavs all that much... He's not going to make the hustle plays Shawn Marion makes... The needed a upgrade to the 5 spot..
Well, I may not know much about odom as a player, but I'll drool while watching him for sure!

Big tall bald dude hoopin it up in the lane...YEAH BABY.

Just made my Mavs watching get a little more exciting.

Although I loved my friends reactions bitching about the disinfecting of the Kardashians once already!!!! Bwah ha ha ha ha.

Got to give the guy some off the court cred for putting up with that crazy ass fam.
The one thing Chandler gave them was defense - something they have never had. Unless they get someone who can stop people from driving the lane - we are toast.

Odom plays serious defense, is a decent offensive player, and is a great passer. He can play the 3, back up Dirk at the 4, and depending on the match up, play some minutes at the 5. Low maintenance, Hugh basketball IQ guy. What's not to like, especially since we got him in a salary dump and gave up nothing.

We also signed Delonte West at back up PG today.

Adding Vince Carter would be a mistake. He has nothing left in the tank.
Barea, que se puede perder.

Here you go boys...to help you feel better about all this trading and shit....

Take a look at our dancers.

They may not be as fuckable as us - but I will admit, they are mouth watering....

He's certainly not the player he used to be, but he's still a very savvy veteran on an affordable one year contract. My guess is that he and Terry will be neck and neck for the 2nd highest scorer on the team.

You haters gotta be kidding me. I'll half agree on Carter being old and what not, but I think the rest of the staff is great. Looks like we can sweep the Fakers again tho, I have no problem with that.
