Scotlandville?

Ok...So I am from somewhere close to Opelousas and have been traveling to good OLE RED STICK for years Hammond and other surrounded cities like Gonzales which I love.
I ended up on a side of town I have never heard of my entire life in family fun or hobby life.
I have never seen an ad. review or a thread about this town

I need info on Scotlandville that Google can not give me. The hotels here are nice.
I have not roamed the town yet.

Scotlandville is an incorporated community in north Baton Rouge. The area includes Southern University, the B.R. international airport. The residential area is mostly low income. There are a couple of low to mid tier hotels near the airport.

Yes as I drive to local places like walmart or dollar general feels like I am in the hood hood but where the cluster fuck of hotels are its Hilton and Marriotts so kind of confusing.
