Austin is hardly a friendly place and seems rather cliquish.

Why is it that you cannot dispute the validity of a review but it's OK to see banned members in every new person that posts? Why would anyone want to join and post in Austin if they cannot have a chance to establish themselves amidst the paranoia that seems to reign?

You're new and I wouldn't let your first encounter set the tone for being here. The Prime Directive is to meet up with all the hot POAs here. Everything else is irrelevant. The only "thin skin" you need is a good condom.

Sometimes it just takes patience to prove yourself when there are those that want to question everyone new.
Those that are banned do often come back with new handles or have second, third or even more handles, which could be why they were banned to begin with. Some have even threatened to come back again and again if they are banned.

I use to feel Austin was kinda a click city on the boards. I have recently discovered they are pretty welcoming... I have even starting blogging with them again
