Recovery of Google account

My laptop and my phone broke so I got new ones but I can't remember my Google/Gmail password. I had to create a new Google account to get on my new laptop and I have been trying to recover my old one ever since. I typed in my email and since my phone is attached it texted me a Google code and then it says to enter the code it just sent to my email(the same email I'm trying to recover my password for). It's stressful to do this. Can anyone help?

Since my old laptop screen is broken, I was able to connect my laptop to my tv with a HDMI cable to see what's on my computer and recover my password list since I was already signed into gmail on that laptop.
