Remember it's a cash business. First one to flash the cash gets in the door.

Of all the NCNS's I've had over the many years, about 80% have been because the provider overbooked to account for us clients not showing up or canceling. All the providers that I followed up with did admit this and I even re-booked with some and had a good experience. It's all about the money and I can't really blame them. The airlines does this all the time and no one is complaining about that. It's just business and the bottom line is what matters and the bottom line is making money.
I have learned over the years though and tend to make appointments with providers well in advance, see low volume providers, or see providers I have seen several times before and are dependable. I find that tends to reduce the NCNS's drastically and have only had a couple cancellations and they seemed to be for legitimate reasons.
